Aston Martin DB Mk111 LHD

The DB Mk111 was the last in the DB 2/4 series but did not retain this detail in its name. The Mk111 was redesigned with smoother lines and design cues which were to become permanent features on many later models.

The Engine was now producing well over 150bhp (190bhp in Vantage form) and after the production of the first 100 cars Girling Disc brakes were fitted to the front wheels as standard, many of the earlier cars having now been  subsequently  converted.  All told, only 462 Mark III Saloons were constructed, and fewer than half were left-hand-drive versions, making them one of the rarest and most sought after of all early David Brown Aston Martins.

The LHD car,  Chassis No. AM.300/3/1720, shown here, was first registered in Canada in 1958 and is currently embarking on a Full Body, Mechanical and Trim restoration within our workshops.  Our aim is to fully restore the car to the highest of standards in its original finish of Pacific Blue with Beige Connolly leather.

The Body and Chassis sections of the car have both completed  a lengthy process of restoration, including the hand forming of various new body panels by our 'in house' team of craftsmen.

We are now ready to offer the early opportunity to take ownership of this remarkable vehicle in combination with a commission for the full Spellbound Cars restoration. This is a rare chance for an owner to engage with, and become part of, this vehicles history and bestow their own mark upon this rare and rapidly appreciating example.
